Should i kill letho or not

Blothulfur Mentor 7 Sep 6, Generally my canon Geralt tends not to judge, he's not so righteous as to believe that he is the final arbiter of life and death. There are certain things he feels that he must do, otherwise he tries to remain neutral, he's not so childish or arrogant as to think he knows what is right or wrong. Letho's badass, but he's also an asshole. He's manipulating bad and good people with complete disregard for their lives just to achieve his goal.

He's very dangerous cause he's very intelligent and doesn't look that way , and you can't trust him. And he kidnapped Triss, killed Foltest, made life for people in a few countries a hell war comes to the North thanks to Letho, at least partly.

To show him who's the badassest witcher - the world is not big enough for two of them. Aver Forum veteran 10 Sep 6, For saying "let me go, or I will kill you". During first playthrough I had hard time deciding if I should let him go or kill him, but then he finished conversation with this line.

I was like "Oh, yeah? We will see! CostinRaz Banned 11 Sep 6, Wichat said:. Guest Guest 12 Sep 6, Blothulfur Mentor 13 Sep 6, We all know that Nilfgaard would invade again, the Black Sun cannot stand the thought of these backward and savage barbarians humbling them.

Given this fact is it possible that thanks to Lethos wet work the inevitable third war may have been quickened? In the long run saving both lives and liberties for the conquered north. Certainly we can argue that the loss of Demavend and Foltest though tragic are nothing compared to the thousands of lives that would be lost, civilian and military, if Nilfgaards armies had to campaign against a united and well led north.

Course there's no certainty that Lethos side will win, but could his assassinations and manipulations be considered moral when compared to the high toll of butchery and barbarity that a standard invasion would guarantee. Then again my Geralt doesn't really care tuppence ha'penny who wins or loses, he had an obligation to clear his name and aid Foltests children, which he dispensed at Loc Muinne.

Now he's free to pursue his personal desires, stand by his friends and say to hell with the foibles of potentates and powerbrokers. KnightofPhoenix Rookie 14 Sep 6, I believe that war was inevitable, with or without Letho.

Letho is simply reserving a piece of the cake. So I do not think Letho can be morally blamed for starting the war, it would have happened anyhow.

Though one could morally blame him for his actions I of course don't. And I really don't believe that Geralt would be so But well, whatever floats your boat. So i guess it comes down to player preference and what feels right for them. Garrison72 Mentor 16 Sep 7, I'm with Tommy. Though I lean toward saving him, he's a selfish bastard with little concern for those not relevant to his plans, and I never play Geralt that way. Captmorgan72 Senior user 17 Sep 7, Aver said:.

Well, my Geralt try to feel like the one who wish kill Cahir in despite of what his friends think So what did you guys do? Did you fight him to the death, or let him go on his way? Drank Vodka. Pondered what I'd gain if we fought. Left in peace. Saw ladybug. Was happy and felt wise. Clapped at the credits. Read funny and crazy Polish names. Watched that last cutscene. Turned it off for the day. He wanted to restore just his own coven of Witchers.

Ans also killed innocents just to make sure he would not be revealed, like the priest who tended to his wounds. Don't make a mistake thinking that he is a good person. Altho a great character he is. If you are role playing a good Geralt then it would be appropriate to kill Letho If on the other hand you are trying to stick more to the traditional Witcher doctrine of neutrality Geralt who only concerns with monsters and curses then one would Letho walk away.

I let him live. Mainly because he saved Triss and I felt that was the most important thing for my character. I killed him. My Geralt always keeps his promises, even if it is to a dead king and to a shady special forces operative. I killed him despite feeling like I shouldn't.

I mean I had to have one last good fight before I ended the game, no? I fucking hate thread titles like this, although it technically doesn't give anything away, it heavily suggests that you get to decide a certain character's fate. Which is a basically a spoiler in its self. Witchers are objective forces in their universe.

Letho explained his actions and Geralt had no ties to the land and a cute sorceress and elf buddy to go on adventures with. So I let Letho live. He was a bad dude who deserved it. Also, I didn't want the northern kingdoms to be weakened even more. Wasn't Letho still under contract from the Nilfgaardians to weaken the north?

Who says he wouldn't have killed Anais, whom I just finished saving? Great game though, even if the game play of the 3rd chapter left much to be desired. He was Nilfgaardian scum, so he died Oh and after that fight with the dragon who I let live I wanted blood for all the crap that was unleashed by his actions. I killed his ass. He took mah gurl, and worked for the Nilfgaardians. Also killed the dragon since that bitch made me die like a hundred times in the prologue.

User Info: Quorthon I don't know much about Geralt before this game, but just based on his experience with Letho I'd say Geralt would probably let him go.

Not to mention he tells you that he basically babysat Yennefer in your absence even though she got him in trouble several times. I'd say that's reason enough to let him walk. Like you said, they were never really enemies, they were actually former comrades that happened to cross paths again and get in each other's way a bit.

User Info: th3warr1or. Let him go. Sure, he got Triss into that mess, but he got her out of it, so it's even. Besides, even if he didn't, he already helped Yennefer once.

User Info: todahouse Thing is, even if I'm thinking as myself and not Geralt, I can't come up with a valid reason to kill Letho. Geralt just wants to clear his name.
