Once the HFS Contract offer is available, each student is responsible for individually accepting the HFS Contract offer before the invitation process expiration date.
If the HFS Contract offer is not accepted by the expiration date and the offer expires, the offer cannot be remade. Be sure to read the fine print for your HFS Contract before you accept - once you have accepted the HFS Contract, you are legally bound to that contract for the specified semester s. Rooms in East Halls are traditional, with most furniture in the rooms bolstered to the floor, leaving only a few ways to arrange furniture. Have no fear though, each room is equipped with a microfridge, wifi, and cable tv, all you have to do is bring the television and a cable plug.
East Halls is also currently going under a large renovation , where new halls are being constructed Earle Hall, available fall as well as renovations for current halls. In addition, the commons area has seen new renovations including the dining area and convenience store. While Pollock Halls is home to students of all grade levels, some dorms are devoted entirely to first-year students.
Pollock Halls is also home to the Pollock Testing Center and computer lab, making it easy to study and take exams. While the rooms in West Halls are similar to those in other traditional dorm rooms, the halls offer a bit more space than Pollock or East Halls, making for a more comfortable experience. West Halls ranks among some of the lowest numbers in terms of first-year student residence, but is a great choice for someone looking for a quieter living space.
South Halls is home to a variety of housing options, including Atherton Hall, home to the Penn State Schreyer Honors College, sorority suites, and general housing options. Perks of living in South Halls include being steps away from downtown and the HUB-Robeson Center as well as having a dining area that includes both a buffet and a la cart options.
Not many first-year students live in these suites, and the location of North is a bit far from central campus. However, North Halls is located near buildings for music, arts, and architecture, and is perfect for students studying those fields. Eastview Terrance is another non-traditional residence area located on the east end of South Halls. Eastview shares the same commons area with South Halls and residents have their own room as well as a single bathroom.
Washers and dryers are available on each floor for no extra cost and some buildings are equipped with a communal kitchen. In addition, White Course also has a community center where residents can pick up mail and packages as well as participate in community events.
